In the heart of Swansea, a small but vibrant group of African voices has come together to create something truly special. We are not professional singers. We’re simply a group of people from across Africa who found ourselves in Wales, drawn together by faith, friendship, and a deep love for our heritage.
It all started in church, where many of us met and bonded over shared stories, languages, and rhythms. From casual hums to harmonies, our choir was born, more from the heart than from any stage or spotlight. Singing together allows us to hold onto pieces of home while also sharing the beauty of African culture with the people of Wales.
Our songs carry stories, joy, and traditions that stretch across a continent. We sing in our languages, wear our vibrant attire, and express our identity proudly, not to perform, but to connect.
